Job Description

Job Title:                 Offshore Structural Engineer

Project Type:           Offshore

Project Location:      Close to Marseille/Aix-en-Province, France

Contract Type:         Permanent, rotation may apply

Working time:          8 hours a day and 5 days a week

Start date:              ASAP

Contract Period:       18 months

Salary:                   Negotiable

· Graduated offshore structures engineer, ideally with knowledge and experience with concrete offshore/maritime structure.

· Understanding of offshore structure loads and regulatory framework

· Experience in FEM calculation of at least one code NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus, Robot, Advance or other

· Comfortable in written communication and reporting

· Comfortable to work in multi-culture, multi-industry environment, especially in oil and gas industry


Main Roles and Responsibilities:

· Participate to the design of the floater structure in accordance with state-of-the-art methods and tools, within project and performance constraints

· Verify subcontracted work and the compliance of construction with specifications

· Contribute with other disciplines to the definition of global and local stress verification methods for the structure and other components

· Lead the local and global verification of the structure

· Contribute to the design, optimization, analysis and evaluation of design alternatives

· Support the preparation of planning, commercial offers, and ensure a good communication with the other disciplines.
