Job Description

Job Title:                 Project Leader (Operations)

Department:            Operations

Project Type:           Onshore

Project Area:            Middle East

Project Location:      Saudi Arabia

Contract Type:         Permanent with 63 off days / year which can be divided into several rotations.

                               Company ensures 3 travels / year

Start date:               Immediately

Contract Period:       2 years +

o Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related discipline.



o 5 years of experience in project management including experience in Oil and Gas or petrochemical industries in the same role


Key Specification:

o Ensure safety aspects of all projects comply with HSE policies and procedures

o Plan; allocate resources, manpower and equipment for projects    

o Liaison with department heads and top management on project execution



o Adhere to Company’s Safety and Quality Policies, Rules and Regulations, as well Clients specific policies

o Plans, direct and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

o Review proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations procedures and quality parameters for accomplishing projects, staffing requirement and allotment of available resources to various phase of project

o Develop systematic approach for each phase of project and arrange for assignment of project personnel

o Liaise with project staff to define work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority

o Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget

o Directs change management and contact variation control, identifies and confirms variations and submit detailed change valuations

o Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required

o Prepares timely project reports for management and clients.

o Liaison with client and project personnel to provide guidance and problem solving

o Carry out any other tasks as instructed by the line manager or supervisor.
